Has anyone besides me seen a big change in the Linkedin groups evolve over the past year? It seems more and more people are not really there to network and provide true community value as much as to cast their message out into the noisy pool along with everyone else's message. I'm really disappointed in this as Linkedin was and still can be a great platform to network and both provide and receive value. I'm afraid that if this trend continues more people will become dismayed and abandon a lot of their Linkedin activity like we're starting to see with Twitter. |

We all more or less have the same objective: to interact more with our website visitors. Doing so gets them more involved with our brand and more committed to their relationship with it. There are several ways of going about this though most seem to revolve around a core few. I struggle with both the potentials of and the problems with Twitter. Odds are high I’m not alone in this one. I spend a lot of time and energy trying to keep up with everything while trying to find or develop realistic metrics for its effectiveness. While I do firmly believe Twitter to be valuable tool in developing relationships and staying in touch with your audience, I’m starting to rethink some of the “expert” advice we’ve all heard, along with exactly how I should be using it. |
